3) Cleaning of rubber parts Rubber parts are not allowed to be washed by mineral washing oil. Instead, they should be washed in alcohot; or alternatively. the dirts on the surface should be wiped off via a piece of clean cloth.
4) Purge of oil pipeline Use steel wire to get through the oil circuit to confirm whether it is through or not. Fill the solvent into the oil circuit through a nozzle under pressure for cleaning.
5) Anticorrosive protection After the complete removal of dirts and oil from the surface of the parts, apply a coat of clean engine oil to ward off rust corro-sion.
4.3 Inspection
(1) Inspection Instruction
A Parts should be checked with specified measuring apparatus or tools. Determine whether the part can be used continuously according to the specified maintenance standard schedule. Any defective part should be repaired or replaced as required. In case one of two coupled parts is worn resulting in a clearance exceeding the specified limit, this part and the corresponding part should be re-placed as required.
B Parts within the maintenance limit or abrasion limit, sometimes in view of prevention of maintenance, should also be replaced before the limits are exceeded.
C All parts should be checked in one of the following methods, ie. appearance observation or red pigment permeability method. In case of any abnormality found in appearance inspection, the relevant part should be repaired or replaced as required.
Abnormalities:
Uneven wear
●Stepped wear
●Scratching
●Crack
●Distortion
●Fatigue or weakened(eg. spring)
●Bending
●Loosened fit
●Abnormal noise(eg. bearing)
●Color changing or jamming
●Rust
●Performance deterioration (eg. brake lining, etc.)
D All removed rubber parts including O-ring, oil seal, gasket, etc. should be discarded.
(2) Transmission shaft radial runout inspection
Support the center holes on both ends of the transmission shaft on core clampers, rotate the shaft slowly and measure its" radial runout" with a dial gauge.
Maintenance standard: less than 0.7 mm; repair limit 1.0mm.
